What will I learn in It's Time to Talk about it!?

Learn how to identify risk: You will learn the warning signs and risk factors of suicide and be able to differentiate between warning signs and risk factors. Learn to talk about suicide: You will learn strategies to approach and communicate with young people about suicide. You will also learn to ask the suicide question. Learn how to support a young person in need: You will learn how to build a safety net for at-risk youth, ways to promote strengths and resiliency or protective factors, and learn about resources that can help. Build the confidence to do 1-3: Research supports that those who take the ITTAI training feel more prepared to deal with such a tough topic and are more likely to begin a conversation about suicide.

How do I request a private It's Time to Talk about it! training?

You may request a private training using the 'Private Training Request' form below. Talkable Communities is able to accommodate private in-person trainings in Clay, Duval, Flagler, Putnam, Nassau, St. Johns and some of the surrounding counties. We are able to accommodate private virtual trainings for anyone in the world. Private trainings can accommodate up to 50 learners and we require at least 15 to fulfill a private training request. Private trainings are subject to trainer availability. We do our best to accommodate all requests. For in-person private training courses, the hosting individual/organization will be required to provide a training room to accommodate all learners and with access to technology (Large TV w/HDMI cord or Projector with speakers).
