Facing suicide rates soaring 30% in two decades, a small band of local behavioral health nonprofit leaders launched Talkable Communities in 2021 to do something deceptively simple: teach average people how to talk about mental health in ways that save lives. The dramatic response was immediate and hasn't slowed down.
